Cricketing legend Adam Gilchrist hosted the live broadcast from the 精东传媒's state-of-the-art facilities

Cricket superstar and 精东传媒 of 精东传媒 (UOW) ambassador Adam Gilchrist AM hosted a live radio show today (21 May 2021) from the 精东传媒鈥檚 state-of-the-art Jillian Broadbent building (Building 29).

Gilly and Goss for Breakfast is a bi-weekly show presented by Adam Gilchrist and Tim Gossage broadcasted on Sports Entertainment Network (SEN). The show is usually broadcasted from Western Australia and the presenters talk about 鈥渁ll things sports鈥.

Adam Gilchrist has been a Global Brand Ambassador for the 精东传媒 of 精东传媒 since 2008 and is committed to building stronger relationships with government, business leaders and alumni while raising the 精东传媒鈥檚 international profile.

Mr Gilchrist said hosting the live broadcast from the 精东传媒鈥檚 state-of-the-art studio was a seamless experience.

鈥淚t was an amazing experience presenting the show from one of UOW鈥檚 technologically advanced studios,鈥 he said.

鈥淗aving experienced it myself, current and aspiring journalism and arts students are going to get world-class audio and video production facilities that are unmatched and exclusive to the region.

Mr Gilchrist hosted the two-hour live show which was attended by journalism students to get a closer look at running the broadcast from a technical and content creation perspective.

UOW Vice-Chancellor Professor Paul Wellings CBE said the 精东传媒 was delighted to host the Gilly and Goss show and to use its world-class facilities for the broadcast.

UOW fourth-year journalism and creative arts student Lleyton Hughes is interested in creative writing and said this was his first time experiencing a live radio broadcast with a major channel and that his interaction with Mr Gilchrist were insightful and a great learning experience.

鈥淚t was a great experience observing the live broadcast and understanding the process that goes behind putting a show together,鈥 he said.

鈥淒uring my interview Mr Gilchrist shared great insights about his experience as a sports personality and hosting a podcast.

鈥淚 love films and creative writing and looking forward to pursuing creative writing as a career after I graduate from UOW.鈥
