How is this program run?
This program is running both face-to-face and online.
What will I do?
As an executive you will help organise and run the club or society on campus by organising events, meetings and promotional material, and liaising with club members and other key stakeholders.
How will I benefit?
If you are elected to become part of the club executive committee, you take on a leadership position and during your tenure, you will acquire many new skills such as leadership skills, effective communication, administrative skills and you will learn how to gain effective results within an Executive team for the benefit of the club members.
How do I apply?
To get involved, visit the website and find the club that you are interested in. If you are not already a member, join the club through their club page and attend club events. The club executive will be elected by the members at the next Annual General Meeting (AGM).
Are there any special requirements for this role?
Yes, to be eligible to be elected as a club executive you must be a member of the club and a UOW student.
Minimum requirements for UOWx recognition
You must be a Club Executive and attend UniClubs Executive training to be eligible to receive UOWx recognition. Training is held at the beginning of each semester, with dates and registration details included in the found on the UniClubs Website.
To receive UOWx recognition, you must complete Club Executive training as well as the following:
- An "engaged" student will need to complete 20 hours in a calendar year
- A "'highly engaged" student will need to complete 50 hours in a calendar year
